Hart Lagoon
Nestled amongst windswept reeds, Hart Lagoon is a serene spot perfect for birdwatching and nature observation. Surrounded by wetlands, the habitat is home to diverse wildlife and supports a rich ecosystem. It’s important to tread carefully here, walking along the established, unpaved pathway to the bird hide provided for those wishing to take in views and sounds without disturbing the animals. The concealed hide allows naturalist to get closer to wildlife and see natural behaviours.
Under a 3 minute drive from Echo Holiday Parks – Waikerie, there is an undesignated parking bay next to the entrance. The pathway to the bird hide is short and easy walk. Visitors can also get there by walking the 5km Hart Lagoon loop from the Park. The pathway while easy, may not be accessible to everyone due to the natural terrain.
